Hi to all,
My name is Norbert and I bought 3 years ago a used Hobie 16 which I sail with a friend of my from March until End of November every year in Gloucester, Ma on the open Ocean.
After an exident last year I desided to mount a Floter on top of the mast.
Since I brought the boat back on to the mooring this year I run in permanent trubble.
First the front stay snaped in the middel of the cable.
OK. I replaced the long and the short front stay as well as the side stayes with new cable.
One week later my mast was down again with a borken spreader cabel. I replaced bothe with new cable.
This morning (2weeks later) I saw that the mast is down again.
Does someone have an Idea what's going on?
The boat was for 2 Years on the same mooring with out any problem.
The only thing what is changed since is the floater on top of the mast. All Cable are brand new (max. 3 weeks)
